Dr. David M. Beaudoin

WARWICK — Dr. David M. Beaudoin, 63, died October 1, at the West Shore Health Center. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Dorothy (Frates) Beaudoin. Dr. Beaudoin served as the Secretary for Catholic Education for the Diocese of Providence from 2002-2012.

Prior to that, he was the director of Evangelistic Catechesis Service Agency for the Archdiocese of Chicago for 15 years. He received his bachelor and master’s degree in Theology from Assumption College. Dr. Beaudoin also received a master’s degree in 1987 from Marquette University in Wisconsin. In 1995, Dr. Beaudoin earned his doctorate of ministry in Religious Education from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana. David was the brother of Donna Jerman and her husband Stephen of El Paso, Texas; Janice Wilbur and her husband Steven of Fitchburg, Mass., Peter Beaudoin and his wife Cathy of Cranston; and the late Thomas Beaudoin; and brother-in-law of Diana Beaudoin Gemma.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, October 5, in Christ The King Church, West Warwick, with burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
