PROVIDENCE —The Marketing and Communications division of Providence College (PC) recently won three awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District I Excellence Awards competition. The CASE District I program awards institutions doing innovative work in areas such as communications, alumni relations, and advancement services.

The Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 issues of Providence College Magazine won the Gold Award for Creative Excellence. The “Providence College Admissions Suite,” which included the publications Great Minds and PC Viewbook, received the Silver Award for Admissions Excellence. The video “We’re with you, Coach Cooley,” produced after the 2018 BIG EAST Tournament championship game, also won the Silver Award in the Fundraising and Alumni Relations Excellence Program category. Joe Carr ‘83, Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications, said, “Recognition like this is only possible because Providence College has a great story to tell. PC’s distinctive Catholic and Dominican approach inspires its remarkable faculty, students, and alumni to achieve at the highest levels, and we are pleased that the CASE judges recognize and appreciate our portrayals of their accomplishments.”

Founded in 1917, Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars.
