LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Should we be protecting our animals more than our fellow human beings?

TO THE EDITOR:

I am writing in regard to the “civil right” and “human right” issue of our unborn persons. If we allow abortions to be performed up to the moment of birth, then will the delivery doctor set themselves up for “possible” criminal charges for murder? If the mother at a later date feels guilty for terminating the birth how will the doctors be protected from criminal charges?

The animal activists use the mantra “We will speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Now they are lobbying for “criminal charges” for cruelty and even death committed toward an animal. Should this mentality be applied to those humans that cannot speak for themselves? Since when should we be protecting animals more than protecting our fellow human beings?

All our actions have consequences. Let us step back and look at the BIG picture and consequence of terminating “life” at ANY stage!
