Eucharistic Revival opens in the diocese
GREENVILLE — In celebration of the Eucharistic Revival taking place in the diocese and around the U.S., a Holy Hour will be held at Saint Philip Church on October 7 at 7 p.m. The evening will include prayer of the Rosary as well as Solemn Sung Vespers, ending with Benediction. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery. Jesus needs each one of us to be his hands and feet throughout this Eucharistic Revival. Family Rosary Festival
NORTH EASTON, Mass. — A Family Rosary Festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m., at the Father Peyton Center home of The Museum of Family Prayer, 518 Washington St., N. Easton, Mass. Faith and Blue
NORTH PROVIDENCE — A National Faith & Blue event will be held locally on Oct. 8, from 12 – 2 p.m., at North Providence High School. This event is planned by Mary Mother of Mankind Church and the North Providence Police, Transformation of Worship Center, CVS Pharmacy, RI Health and Wellness and Tri-Town Community Action. The initiative aims to recalibrate police-community relations through solutions-focused, in-person, socially distanced and/or virtual activities that are organized jointly by faith-based or other community groups and law enforcement agencies.
Public Square Rosary in Providence
PROVIDENCE — A Public Square Rosary Crusade Rally will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at noon, rain or shine at St. Pius V Church in front of the Blessed Mother Statue on the Roslyn Avenue side of St. Pius V Church. Public Square Rosary in Cranston
CRANSTON — Join the Knights of Columbus of the Rev. Richard A. Donnelly Council #322 for the 105th anniversary of the Miracle at Fatima’s Public Square Rosary Rally, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at noon, at St. Mark Church’s Gazebo, 31 Poplar Drive. Come rain or shine in celebrating Our Lady and the Holy Rosary to help guide the Nation during these difficult times.
Annual Walk for Life
WESTERLY — St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., will host its annual Walk for Life, “Witness to the powerful sanctity of human life,” on Sunday, Oct. 16, beginning at noon. Gather at St. Pius X Church for a one-mile walk, which will include a brief prayer service at the Tomb of the Unborn at St. Sebastian’s Cemetery. For those unable to walk and/or would prefer to pray in silence there will be Eucharistic Adoration at noon, ending with Benediction. A collation will be held outside (weather permitting). Professor to speak on Mary at St. Pius V
PROVIDENCE — On Wednesday, Oct. 19, 7 p.m., St. Pius V will welcome Dr. Daria Spezzano, associate professor of Theology at Providence College, to speak in Caffe Lepanto. Take-Out Thursday to benefit parish social outreach ministry
BARRINGTON — The original Take-Out Thursday, a charity food sale and popular East Bay attraction, will return to Holy Angels Church on October 20. A carryout menu offering options of kid's mac and cheese, hearty minestrone soup, three-cheese lasagna, and classic meat and cheese lasagna, as well as a slice of pumpkin swirl cake for dessert is available. Ordering is open for a limited time, while supplies last, and proceeds will benefit the efforts of the Holy Angels Social Outreach Ministry, whose mission is to provide for those in need. Saint Jude Triduum
PROVIDENCE — Saint Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will hold a Mass and Novena for three evenings in honor of Saint Jude beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, followed by Monday, Oct. 24, and Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. The theme of the St. Jude Triduum is “Renewing Our Spirituality: 12 Celtic Spiritual Practices that Celebrate God in the World.” A reception and raffle drawing will follow Mass on the last evening of the St. Jude Triduum.
Fall Dance
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will host a Fall Dance on Oct. 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by The Goat Roper Band. Admission fee includes pastry, coffee and tea. Kitchen will be open selling sandwiches, pizza, favas and chourico and soft drinks, or you may bring your own food and drinks. World Mission Sunday

New Bible Study planned at St. Pius V
PROVIDENCE — A four-week bible study will meet in the Caffe Lepanto at St. Pius V on Thursday mornings beginning Oct. 27, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. The presenter is Christine Rubinstein, a retired Christian psychotherapist, amateur Bible student, and convert to the Catholic Church. The next meeting will review Gideon: Four Keys to Living Courageously (Judges 6-8).

World Youth Day 2023
PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence is organizing a pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Lisbon from July 26 – August 7, 2023, led by Deacon Timothy Flanigan, M.D., and Father Joseph Brice.
