Providence College lecture: ‘We’ve Got You Covered: Rebooting American Health Care’
PROVIDENCE — Amy Finkelstein, Ph.D., will be the speaker for this year’s 2024 Rodney K. Delasanta Lecture on Thursday, March 21, 4:30 p.m. in ’64 Hall in the Slavin Center on the Providence College campus. The title of Dr. Finklestein’s talk will be “We’ve Got You Covered: Rebooting American Health Care.” Dr. Finklestein is the John & Jennie MacDonald Professor of Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is the co-founder and co-Scientific Director of J-PAL North America, a research center at MIT that encourages and facilitates randomized evaluations of important domestic policy issues. She is also the founding Editor of American Economic Review. The lecture, sponsored by the Providence College Honors Program, is free and open to the public.

Good Friday Walk planned through streets of Narragansett

39th annual Good Friday Walk
PAWTUCKET — The 39th Good Friday Walk will take place on March 29, 9 a.m., beginning with a blessing at St. John the Baptist Church Hall, 69 Quincy Ave., and end back at the church hall to enjoy a delicious lunch of grilled cheese, chowder and water. Proceeds from this annual four-mile walk through Pawtucket and Central Falls will support Project Hope/Proyecto Esperanza, Hospitality House Soup Kitchen, and Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, aiding the elderly and those with low income or working poor with food, rent, utilities, and prescriptions.
