PROVIDENCE — Thomas P. McElroy, 75, of Robin St., died January 25 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the brother of Father John J. McElroy, pastor emeritus of St. Joseph Church, Pawtucket, and the husband of Barbara A. (Haven) McElroy.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Terrence and Agnes (Slavin) McElroy, and was a lifelong resident of Mount Pleasant.

He was employed as a lineman for Narragansett Electric for 42 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Utility Workers of New England, Local 310.

He was a lifelong communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.

In addition to his wife and Father McElroy, he is survived by a son, Thomas P. McElroy of West Greenwich; a daughter, Barbara A. McElroy of Providence; and a sister, Helen Cassin of Johnston. He was also the brother of the late James T., Robert B., Margaret, Virginia and Anne McElroy.

A Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated January 29 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
